To the Editor:

We’re saying “NO!” NO to the unlawful and cruel detention and deportation of our hard-working neighbors whose only crime was pursuing the American dream.

The majority of ICE targets are hard-working contributors to the local economy and society. What is being unleashed on all of us is un-American and just plain wrong. It represents one more example of the erosion of the rule of law by the current administration.

Join us in saying “NO!”

On Saturday, Aug. 16, a National Day of Protest, we will march in King City to stand against this travesty. We will meet at the City Hall, 212 Vanderhurst, at noon and march down Broadway. Bring a sign that expresses your concern. No time to make a sign? Just show up and signs will be provided.
