KING CITY — King City in Bloom members and Sun Street Centers volunteers once again teamed up for a local beautification project last Saturday morning.

In partnership with the Salinas Valley Fair, the group is helping to give the fairgrounds’ entrance on Division Street a facelift with new drought-resistant native plants — just in time for the annual fair’s return in mid-May.

The March 19 workday also included laying ground cover at the King City Recreation Center and the King City Golf Course.

Volunteers will reconvene this Saturday morning for planting.
