SALINAS VALLEY — Greenfield Police Department was alerted by the Flock Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) system of a stolen vehicle traveling toward Greenfield on Nov. 5.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on southbound Highway 101 near Espinoza Road, where the three occupants were detained.
Following the investigation, Erica Mendez, 37, of King City, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of narcotics. Mendez was transported and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
“Greenfield Police Department continues to utilize technology, such as Flock ALPR, to help recover stolen vehicles and maintain a safe community,” stated the department.
