KING CITY — Members of King City Rotary recently presented local beautification group King City in Bloom (KCIB) with a check for $1,500, half of the proceeds from their recent 5K race — the Rabbit Run on April 16 — which also benefited King City High School scholarships.

KCIB chair Allie Cullen and her daughter Rose accepted the check from Rotary’s Rabbit Run chair T.J. Plew and committee member Ryan Casey with Rotary President Alex Gourley during the June 15 Beautification BBQ at San Lorenzo Park.

KCIB plans to buy more drought-resistant plants to further beautify the town.
