KING CITY — Shoppers browsed various items at the King City Rotary Club’s booth during the King City Flea Market on May 23, inside the Expo Building at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds.

Rotary’s annual flea market was canceled this year due to county health guidelines related to the Covid-19 pandemic, while the weekly flea market could continue since it previously acquired the needed permits.

Rotarians were able to host a booth at the market and sell items to raise money for local scholarships, having drawn large crowds of shoppers during its opening hours.

The many tables of items were donated or collected by Rotarians, who plan to host their flea market next year in April.
