KING CITY — King City Rotary Club’s Rabbit Run will make its return Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at the San Bernabe Visitors Center, located at 53001 Oasis Road in King City.
The Rotary Club anticipates 150 participants, and will offer additional features to increase the fun at this year’s run. There will be a volunteer from Mee Memorial Hospital on-site for medical attention, and Rotary will provide an early bib pickup to pre-registered runners who wish to avoid the morning line on the day of the race.
The third annual fun run returns to San Bernabe (Delicato) Vineyards off Oasis Road. Via a 5K (3.1 mile) course or 1-mile course, participants can walk, run or hop from the vine to the wine. Delicato Wines will be available to taste for participants 21 of age and older, after completion of their timed course.
Event proceeds will support the King City Rotary Club Foundation scholarship program. To date, the scholarship program has awarded more than $130,000 in scholarships to graduates of King City High School.
“This year’s course includes spectacular views of the vineyards, Chalone Peaks and the Santa Lucia’s,” said TJ Plew- Hearne, Event Committee Chair. “We are grateful to the team at Delicato and San Bernabe for helping us to present a healthy, fun, family activity for our community.”
All racers will receive a custom T-shirt, commemorative participation ribbon and invitation to the post-event festivities at San Bernabe Visitors Center (including wine tasting) with their entry fees. The 5K age group runners can win various prizes, and carrot cakes will also be awarded to multiple top runners.

A new option offered this year is advance bib pickup. Pre-registered participants can pick up their bibs on Friday, March 29, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at The Cork & Plough, 200 Broadway St. in King City.
