KING CITY — Greenfield detectives, assisted by the FBI and the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, served a search warrant Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, in the 100 block of Spruce Circle in King City.
Police said the warrant stemmed from a cybertip involving the viewing and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Otuafi James Hemasi, 32, of King City, was taken into custody for possession of child pornography and transported to the Monterey County Jail, according to the department.
As part of the announcement, police also reminded families to monitor children’s online activity, talk with them about safe internet use and report suspicious behavior.
“Our officers will continue to work through the holidays to keep our community safe,” the Greenfield Police Department said.
