KING CITY ā€” Salinas Valley State Prison EAC recently donated $1,500 to the King City High School softball program.

According to KCHS Mustang Bench, the funds will go toward purchasing new uniforms and equipment for the girls.

ā€œWe appreciate you so much, thank you for investing in our Lady Mustangs,ā€ stated the nonprofit organization, which includes parents, community members and coaches, in a social media post March 9.

The Lady Mustangs are currently 4-4 overall this season in the Mission Division.

They played Santa Catalina School at home on Tuesday and will travel to Gonzales on Thursday.
