KING CITY — A paving project on Highway 101, from the Jolon Road undercrossing near King City to just north of Lagomarsino Avenue near Greenfield, is set to begin Monday, April 6.
Construction crews will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
This closure will allow for the grinding and paving of roughly eight miles of northbound and southbound Highway 101. The on- and off-ramps of Jolon Road will intermittently be closed in both directions of 101 as paving work in that area takes place.
“Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the areas under traffic control,” stated Caltrans. “Please allow for extra time for your travels through the area.”
The contractor for this $19 million project is Granite Construction of Arroyo Grande. Construction is expected to be complete by summer 2028, according to Caltrans.
