GREENFIELD — Greenfield resident Douglas Icabaceta was sentenced May 3 to four years in prison for attempted robbery at the local McDonald’s last August.

Icabaceta, 31, previously entered a plea of no contest to attempted robbery on March 29.

The incident occurred in August 2016 at the McDonald’s in Greenfield. Icabaceta demanded money from the drive-through window employee. When the employee refused to comply, Icabaceta stabbed him four times with a screwdriver. Other employees were able to subdue him until officers arrived.

Monterey County Superior Court Judge Pamela Butler provided the sentencing.

The case was investigated by Greenfield Police Department Officer C. Webb, with the assistance of several other officers.
