JOLON — As part of the Army’s Ready and Resilient campaign to promote healthy living habits, Fort Hunter Liggett is hosting its first-ever triathlon Saturday, June 10, consisting of a 1/4-mile swim, 12-mile bike ride and 5K run.

More than 50 participants, from as far north as the San Francisco Bay Area and south as San Luis Obispo, have already registered. Competition is by age group, Team Relay and kids categories.

The triathlon, which is open to the military and public, begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Fort Hunter Liggett Sports Center parking lot. Participant sign-in is at 6 a.m. Registration is open until 7 a.m. the day of the event. To register online, go to https://hunterliggett.armymwr.com/calendar/wildfire-triathlon.
