King City Police Sgt. Ryan Kenedy (City of King)

KING CITY — The City of King is inviting residents to come together for a Community Vigil on Wednesday, April 9, celebrating the life and service of King City Police Sgt. Ryan Kenedy.

The gathering will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the City Hall lawn, located at 212 S. Vanderhurst. The event aims to pay tribute to Kenedy, who tragically died due to a medical emergency while on duty March 25.

Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support, honoring Kenedy’s dedication and contributions to King City throughout his 11-year career.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to express their condolences and share their memories through cards provided at the vigil. These messages will be collected and presented to Kenedy’s family afterward.

Everyone in the community is welcome to participate.
