LOCKWOOD — Alliance on Aging will host its first South Monterey County Community Resource Fair on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lockwood Community Center.
The free community event is designed to connect residents with essential services, resources and trusted local agencies in one convenient location. The fair is open to residents of Lockwood, San Ardo, San Lucas, Bradley, Bryson, Hesperia and Jolon.
Community members will have the opportunity to speak directly with knowledgeable representatives and receive information on a wide range of topics, including caregiver resources, dementia care, Medicare and Medi-Cal, disaster preparedness, disability services, Long-Term Care Ombudsman services, food resources, tax preparation assistance, home care, transportation, legal services, utility assistance and local sheriff and fire department services.
In addition to accessing vital information and support, attendees can enjoy complimentary lunches, raffles and a welcoming community environment.
“Alliance on Aging — Alianza para el Envejecimiento in Spanish — is proud to host this event as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the health, safety and well-being of older adults, caregivers and families throughout South Monterey County,” organizers said.
