GONZALES — Three players had at least two hits in the Greenfield Lady Bruins softball teams 7-6 victory over host Gonzales High on Tuesday, April 4.

Alize Ortiz, Andrea Pantoja, and Janette Miranda finished the game with two basehits apiece. Ivonne Pantoja earned the pitching win for Greenfield.

In the second game of the week for the Lady Bruins, the host Santa Catalina Cougars raced to a 8-3 lead over Greenfield and then scored eleven unanswered runs to defeat the visitors by a 19-3 score. Greenfield managed just three hits in the loss.

The Lady Bruins are 2-4 in the Mission Trail Athletic League and 3-6 overall. This is a rivalry week for Greenfield as they hosted the Soledad Aztecs yesterday and host King City tomorrow afternoon.
