KING CITY — King City Police Department is investigating a gang-related shooting Thursday evening between the 200 and 600 blocks of Division Street involving one victim who was not hurt.

Officers received a report of shots fired in the area at about 7:12 p.m. on Aug. 31, and upon arrival, they found a crime scene at the intersection of South San Lorenzo Avenue and Division Street. The victim, who was nearby, was uninjured, police said.

The suspect vehicle — described as a late model, black sedan, possibly a Nissan, with both front and rear tinted windows — was seen speeding away from the scene, traveling eastbound on Division Street toward South First Street.

“This incident is believed to be gang related,” police said in a news release.
