The Water Conservation Showcase, organized by the Water Awareness Committee, at the 2017 Monterey County Fair hosted a continuous stream of visitors interested in learning about water conservation.
California Water Service Company, California American Water Company, Monterey Peninsula Water Management District, Marina Coast Water District, City of Soledad, and MCSI-Water Management were on hand to answer questions on water conservation and provide free water conservation information and water saving devices.
Conservation information on water fixtures was provided to help us be more efficient, cut water bills and protect our environment. Visitors learned about low water landscapes and efficient irrigation systems.
Beautiful drought tolerant landscapes were on display. These displays provided wonderful examples of attractive low-water use landscapes that grow well locally. Information on drip irrigation, smart irrigation controllers, and other conservation strategies were available at the tables at the Water Conservation Showcase.
