KING CITY — King City’s Ciclovía will return Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with Broadway Street closed to vehicle traffic between First Street and San Lorenzo Avenue.

The open-streets event will provide space for walking, biking, running and other forms of nonmotorized transportation. The event is part of the city’s Blue Zones Project efforts and will include activities, entertainment, children’s games, free Blue Zones-approved food, raffle prizes and information about community and social services.

The entertainment schedule is as follows:

  • 11 p.m. Fun Run & Community Walk
  • 12 p.m. Zumba and Baile Folklorico Costa de California
  • 1:30 p.m. Syndikate (rock band)
  • 2 p.m. Nuestras Raices Ballet Folklorico
  • 12:30 to 3 p.m. Raffle Prizes Drawn

Organizers are also seeking volunteers to help with setup, activities and cleanup throughout the event. Those interested can email ci*****************@***il.com for more information.

Presented by the City of King and the Monterey County Health Department, the Ciclovía is designed to promote health, happiness and overall well-being while bringing community members together for a day of family-friendly activities.
