KING CITY — A pavement rehabilitation project is underway in King City and is expected to continue through Sept. 25.
The 2025-122 Community Development Block Grant-funded project began July 20 and includes work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on South Third Street, South San Lorenzo Avenue, Luckett Street, Talbott Street, Fairview Drive, South Vanderhurst Avenue, Seventh Street, Reich Street, Monte Vista Place and Park Place.
The project includes pavement milling and resurfacing to improve driving conditions and extend pavement life, along with reconstruction of Americans with Disabilities Act curb ramps at selected intersections to improve accessibility.
Work will include roadway grinding, hot-mix asphalt paving and pavement striping.
Motorists and pedestrians should expect traffic delays, detours, noise and dust during construction. City officials also advise drivers to use caution around heavy equipment and note that wet oil and paint may create tracking.
Construction schedules are weather dependent, officials added.
