KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 community grants program, with submissions due by Aug. 7.
The foundation provides grants to organizations serving communities from King City south to the Monterey County line.
In November 2025, SMCF awarded $27,500 to six organizations, supported in part by Chevron, bringing total grants awarded since 2014 to more than $307,000.
The foundation, which has operated for more than a decade, is continuing its “Campaign for the Future” to build a $2 million endowment that will provide ongoing grant funding for local organizations supporting South County residents.
