KING CITY — A recent community survey conducted by independent research firm FM3 Research shows King City residents are largely satisfied with local government, city services and overall quality of life.
According to the results, 74% of residents surveyed view the city favorably, a figure reported to be well above statewide trends. Respondents expressed strong satisfaction with the city’s efforts to keep King City safe, clean and financially stable.
In addition, 83% of residents agreed the city has an ongoing need for additional funding, reflecting broad community awareness of the challenges facing small communities across California.
“Thank you to the hundreds of residents who took the time to share their input,” said City Manager Steve Adams. “This is only the first step. The city will continue gathering community feedback to guide planning and decision-making during these challenging times.”
When asked about their top community priorities, residents identified maintaining gang prevention services, preventing and investigating violent crimes, keeping public areas safe and clean, ensuring the city remains financially stable, increasing the number of good-paying jobs and requiring public disclosure of all spending.
The city plans to use the findings to help guide future planning, budgeting and community engagement efforts. Residents are encouraged to visit KingCity.com/OurKC to stay informed about upcoming projects and opportunities to participate.
The survey was conducted by FM3 Research in partnership with The Lew Edwards Group. It included 209 interviews with King City residents between Sept. 18 and Oct. 13, 2025, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 6.8 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.
