VETERANS CEREMONY

GONZALES — City of Gonzales, American Legion Post 81 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 81 will host a Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at Gonzales Central Park. The event will feature the unveiling of the Hometown Heroes signs, a tribute to local veterans. All community members are encouraged to attend and honor those who have served the country. PARENT WORKSHOP

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Police Department is hosting a parent workshop on Friday, Nov. 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the GUSD Family Resource Center, Suite A, 493 El Camino Real. The session, “Building Bridges: Gang Awareness and Positive Discipline,” will provide parents with tools to recognize early signs of gang influence, improve communication with teens and guide them toward positive choices. The interactive event aims to strengthen parent-teen relationships and promote healthier, more trusting interactions.


VETERANS DAY BBQ

KING CITY — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6747 will host a drive-thru Veterans Day BBQ on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 599 Bitterwater Road in King City. Attendees can enjoy tri-tip, salad, beans and a roll. Tickets are available for pre-sale at the King City Chamber office located at 110 N. Vanderhurst Ave.


BONUS BRIEF: ARTISAN FAIRE

SALINAS — On Saturday, Nov. 8, from 12 to 4 p.m., Active Seniors Inc. will host its first Artisan Craft Faire at 100 Harvest St. in Salinas. The event offers a diverse selection of handmade crafts created by experienced artisans, ideal for holiday gifts and seasonal enjoyment. Attendees can enjoy supporting local ASI artists while shopping mindfully and celebrating the community. The event is free to the public.
