MONTEREY COUNTY — Arts Council for Monterey County (Arts4MC) has announced the recipients of the 2025 Individual Artists Grant, an initiative supporting local artists as they create new works, engage with diverse audiences and enhance the cultural landscape of the community.

Arts4MC remains committed to fostering artistic excellence by awarding nearly $100,000 through various grants directly to local artists. These grants, funded by the County of Monterey, offer financial stipends of up to $5,000 for emerging artists and $10,000 for established artists, ensuring that creatives at every stage of their careers have the necessary resources to thrive.

“Our local artists inspire, challenge and connect us in ways that strengthen our community,” said Jacquie Atchison, executive director of Arts4MC. “By investing in their work, we recognize that artistic endeavors are real work, cultivate innovation across diverse disciplines, celebrate diversity and enhance cultural experiences for residents and visitors alike.”

Arts4MC is dedicated to providing programs that support the professional development of artists, such as BusinessWorks, a free professional development series. Through the Individual Artists Grants, Arts4MC offers monetary support to directly fund artistic projects, enabling local artists to create, share and inspire. Each application was reviewed by an independent panel of jurors.
