KING CITY — King City Police Department recently announced that three new members have joined its team: Sgt. Christopher Langston, Officer Hector Gomez and Records Technician Anahi Guzman.

Langston, originally from Tulsa, Okla., relocated to Paso Robles in 1998. He brings with him 17 years of experience from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, where he served in various roles, including deputy, senior deputy and sergeant.

His diverse assignments ranged from field training officer to homicide detective, off-road team sergeant, mobile field force sergeant, watch commander and professional standards sergeant.

Gomez, born in Berkeley and raised in East Oakland, has a strong background in martial arts, including Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai and wrestling.

After four years of training in preparation for law enforcement, he began his career with the San Leandro Police Department. He is “now excited to start this new chapter with King City PD,” according to the department.

Guzman, a Fresno State criminology graduate, was born and raised in Monterey County. Committed to giving back to her community, she looks forward to making a positive impact locally.

“Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Sergeant Langston, Officer Gomez and Records Technician Guzman as they begin their journey with our department and community,” the department stated.
