JOLON — Fort Hunter Liggett hosted its annual Freedom Fest on Saturday, welcoming the community for a lively celebration of independence.

The June 28 event, held at the DeAnza Baseball Field and open to the public, featured a variety of entertainment and activities designed to bring together families and community members alike in honor of Independence Day.

Attendees enjoyed an evening filled with live music, dancing, carnival games, face painting, a dunk tank and a fireworks show, along with several food vendors.

Fort Hunter Liggett’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) expressed its gratitude for the community’s support, stating, “We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Freedom Fest a success! From our incredible directorates and on-post community, to our off-post neighbors and local vendors — your support, energy, and presence made it all possible. Here’s to the fun, the fireworks, and the fantastic people who brought it all to life!”
