SALINAS — The date and head coaches of the 39th Annual Central Coast High School Football All-Star Game 2025 have been announced.

Local high schools from Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties had their respected head coaches nominate their players.

“Congratulations to all the nominees, your hard work and dedication on and off the field is recognized,” said Committee Co-Chair PJ Daye. “The head coaches had the difficult challenge of narrowing down the nominees into two teams with the most competitive match-up. As an alumnus of this time-honored tradition, I look forward to now witnessing the journey these outstanding young men will experience over the next couple of weeks. For some, they will continue their football career in college, and for some, this may be the last time they suit up. I’m just proud of these young men and honored to help create these memories that will last a lifetime.”

The game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 1, with a 7 p.m. kick-off; entrance will open at 5:30 p.m. at Salinas High School, The Pit.

This 39th annual game will bring excitement, competitiveness and an all-around good time. For many players that will be playing, it is time to meet the peers they have competed against throughout their high school career and become longtime future friends.

Coach Juan Cuevas of North Monterey County High School and Coach Francisco Estrada of Alisal High School will lead the teams. Together, they have compiled coaches from other high schools throughout the tri-county region to staff their teams.

Coaches Cuevas and Estrada have each chosen a local charity for their team to represent: CASA of Monterey County and ERA Training. The money raised will be donated to each charity after the game, and the winning team will be awarded a bonus donation for their cause.
