KING CITY — On Dec. 30, a 17-year-old girl reported to King City Police Department that she was a victim of rape after attending a party in the 100 block of Bedford Circle in King City on Dec. 24.

“During the party, the suspect provided her with alcohol,” according to KCPD in a news release. “He then pulled the victim into a bedroom and forcibly removed her clothing and had sexual intercourse with her against her will.”

A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the suspect — 21-year-old Jesus Oseguera Briseno of King City — on Jan. 6. He was booked at Monterey County Jail on charges of rape, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and kidnapping.
