KING CITY — King City High Mustangs football program completed the 2024 season with a banquet and awards night Nov. 27 at the school cafeteria.
Players that finished the season in the varsity and junior varsity divisions were awarded certificates of achievement. Mustang team members who were chosen for first team and second team All-League were recognized, and players also received team awards.
In addition, the Bronco standout players received junior varsity team awards.
First team All-League players were Jagger Funk (offensive lineman); Carson Tidwell (running back); and Rocky Villanueva (linebacker). Second team All-League players included: Fabian Herrera (defensive back); Kody Lambert (wide receiver); Alex Macias (defensive back); and William Enriquez (offensive line). Sebastian Lizardi was picked to the Richard Chamberlin All-Sportsmanship Team.
Earning team awards for the Mustangs were: Funk (Francisco Sandoval Lineman of the Year Award); Herrera (Mustang Award); Tidwell (Offensive Player of the Year); and Villanueva (Defensive Player of the Year).
Bronco football team award winners were: Julian Rodriguez (Defensive Player of the Year); Manny Cruz (Offensive Player of the Year); and Jacob Lugo (Offensive Lineman of the Year.
