JOLON — PG&E is planning for potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) due to wildfire risk in the areas of Jolon, Lockwood and Fort Hunter Liggett in South Monterey County.

The shutoffs are estimated to begin at 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, and end at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. PSPS hours may change based on fire risk.

Community Resource Centers (CRC) will open on days a PSPS occurs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in: 

  • King City at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division St. 
  • Lockwood at San Antonio Union Elementary School District, 67550 Lockwood/Jolon Road

CRCs will include charging stations for Wi-Fi, electronic devices and medical equipment and other services.
