KING CITY — Community Food Pantry of King City is again partnering with Goodwill Industries for another collection drive in October.

The Food Pantry is asking local residents to bring new or gently used items — such as clothing, shoes, books, blankets, linens, curtains, dishes, kitchenware, bikes, DVDs, small kitchen appliances and all other general household items — to the Goodwill donation trailer.

Any furniture, beds, mattresses, exercise equipment, large appliances or baby items, such as strollers or car seats, will not be accepted.

The trailer will be parked at the King City High School Broadway parking lot for two days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19-20.

For every trailer filled, Goodwill will donate $1,000 to the Food Pantry, which goes directly to funding its food distribution program.

“The collection drives are a very important fundraising event for the pantry, and all funds raised stay in King City to assist our residents in need,” said organizer Peggy Keirn.
