KING CITY — More than 200 seniors graduated from King City High School on Saturday during the Class of 2023 commencement ceremony.
As the Mustang graduates celebrated their last day of high school, their families, friends, teachers and classmates watched and cheered from the stands at War Memorial Stadium.
Speeches were given by seniors Angeles Badajos-Uribe, class president; Michael Conricode, salutatorian; and Michael Aguirre, valedictorian.
The June 3 program also featured senior Hannah Ettinger, who sang the National Anthem, and the King City High School Military Science Color Guard, which presented the flags.
The commencement welcome address was given by King City High School Principal Michael Gray.
The Class of 2023’s motto states, “Together we have experienced life, separately we will pursue our dreams, forever our memories will remain,” a quote by an unknown author. The class song is “I’ll Always Remember You” by Hannah Montana.
After taking the field for the final time Saturday morning, with pomp and circumstance, the 239 graduating seniors tossed their caps in the air in celebration of their achievement.
