TUNNEL REVIEW

MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Water Resources Agency is circulating a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Interlake Tunnel and Spillway Modification Project in South Monterey County. The current drought and recent storms have created a renewed interest in the Interlake Tunnel project, which would divert water from Nacimiento Reservoir to San Antonio Reservoir that would have otherwise been spilled at Nacimiento Dam. The Draft EIR is open for public review and comment until March 21, and can be found at bit.ly/3JBw8ab. Written comments can be submitted via email to tu*******@co.us.
