LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Workforce Development Board is offering the Monterey Cadre Leadership Program on Jan. 24, providing an opportunity to build leadership and advocacy skills for young adults, ages 18 to 24. Participants will develop leadership skills, engage in community service, gain work experience and complete a paid internship, all while building connections with community leaders. POETRY COMPETITION
MONTEREY COUNTY — The 2022 Monterey County Poetry Out Loud, a high school recitation competition, has been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5. The competition will take place at the CSUMB Alumni and Visitors Center, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and will also be live streaming via YouTube. The free cultural event is sponsored by Arts Council for Monterey County, California Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, and Poetry Foundation.
