PINE CANYON — South Monterey County Fire Protection District’s Pine Canyon Station hosted Operation Santa Claus last Sunday evening.

The firefighters dressed up as festive characters and drove their firetrucks through Pine Canyon’s neighborhoods outside King City to wave to onlookers and toss candy canes to youth during the Dec. 20 Christmas parade.
