KING CITY — Five new employees of the King City Police Department were welcomed in last Friday during a special ceremony inside the City Council Chambers.

Police Chief Robert Masterson led the June 14 event and administered the oath of office to three new officers, Matt Dillon, Stephen Phillips and Yvonne Texis-Flores. He also introduced two new support staff members, Executive Assistant Teresita Garcia and Police Clerk Elisa Martinez, to those in attendance.

According to Masterson, the police department is now only one employee away from being fully staffed.

Friday’s ceremony was open to the public, and many family members of the new staff attended to show support for their loved ones.
