Neomi Lavonne Miller, age 85 of King City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her four daughters and grandchilden on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
She was born to the late Arthur and Zella Cherry on August 4, 1933 in Coyle, Oklahoma.
She chose to walk on the wild side and married her late husband, Jackie Miller. Jackie and Lavonne were married an adventurous 63 years upon his death.
Lavonne was the Co-Owner of the family business, Miller’s Electric in King City. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W. Family was Lavonne’s passion and delight. Her greatest pleasure was being involved in her family’s recitals, adventures, heartaches, loves, and secrets. Basically she wanted to know all her families business.
Besides working for the family business, she was a therapist, guidance counselor, great listener, traveling companion, and religious rock for 4 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She loved to garden, gamble, shop and sew. She was happily sewing with all four of her daughters until a few days prior to her sudden departure for heaven.
Lavonne was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Miller, her son, Jack Jr, her daughter, Vonda Lynn, and her sisters, Louis Jordan, Donna Anderson, Thelma Crouch and her brother, William Cherry.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Stallcup, and Joan Alred; Daughters, Kimberly (Pat) Dennis, Tammi (Craig) Smith, Pamela (Paul) Brooks, and Kelly Reinegger; Nana to Heather (Mitch) Block, Jonathan (Jessica) Reinegger, Kayla (Eli) Reyes, Brandon (Jaime) Brooks, Paige Lewis and Eddie, Tyler (Jordan) Smith, Ryan Brooks, Beau (Kelsey) Reinegger, Chase (Caitlan) Smith , and Blake Smith; Old Nana to 13 greatgrandchildren.
Graveside Services were held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA 95322.
