SALINAS — Have you ever dreamed of singing the National Anthem at a premier rodeo event? The California Rodeo Salinas is offering aspiring singers the chance to showcase their talent at the largest rodeo in California.

The Rodeo is looking for singers to perform the National Anthem on Wednesday, July 17, for the Big Week Bull Riding event and from Thursday, July 18, to Sunday, July 21, for each performance of the California Rodeo Salinas.

To apply:

  1. Fill out the online application form and submit it by June 14 at carodeo.com/events/2024/national-anthem;
  2. Include a link to your National Anthem performance (e.g., YouTube); and
  3. Await notification to see if you’ve been selected.

The application deadline is Friday, June 14.

A committee will review all submissions, and selected singers will be notified after July 1.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity to talented singers who want to be part of the California Rodeo Salinas experience,” said Peter Pedrazzi, chairman of the California Rodeo’s Music Committee. “The National Anthem holds great significance, and we look forward to hearing unique renditions from our applicants.”
