Lizsette Jimenez

SAN LUCAS — San Lucas Union School District Board of Education has appointed Lizsette Jimenez as principal/superintendent.

Jimenez brings a wealth of experience and educational background to her new role. She holds a Master of Science in applied school leadership from National University and a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies with a concentration in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from California State University, Stanislaus.

Before her May 9 appointment, Jimenez served as principal at North Monterey County Unified Middle School and Echo Valley Elementary School, where she forged a partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, transforming Echo Valley into a turnaround arts school.

She has a decade of teaching experience in various grades at Oak Grove School District and has taught at Hollister Dual Language Academy, where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2018 by the Hollister School District and San Benito County Office of Education.

Jimenez is eager to collaborate with the San Lucas Union staff, students and community to enhance the educational experience.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to the San Lucas community and the Board of Education for their warm welcome as their incoming principal/superintendent,” Jimenez said. “I am honored and excited to work together to ensure academic success for all students.”
