TACOS WITH COPS

KING CITY — King City Police Department has planned another Tacos with a Cop event on Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 4 to 5 p.m. at El Toro Taco Shop, 1301 Broadway St., in King City. Community members are invited to stop by and meet local officers, who can answer their questions or concerns.


POLENTA FEED

KING CITY — Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation’s annual Polenta and Stew Feed fundraiser will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division St., in King City. Tickets include polenta, stew, salad and bread, and there will be a full bar, dessert and live auction. Takeout begins at 4 p.m., with the sit-down dinner at 5 p.m. and Santa coming into town for pictures at 6 p.m. Guests are asked to bring an unwrapped gift for the toy drive, as well. Tickets can be bought through Eventbrite.com.


INTERNET SAFETY

SOLEDAD — Soledad Police Department and the Soledad Unified School District are hosting a parent workshop about technology devices and internet safety on Thursday, Dec. 1. The community can learn about monitoring children’s technology screen time during the 6 p.m. presentation by local officers at the Main Street Middle School cafeteria. BONUS BRIEF: RESOURCE FAIR

SOLEDAD — Special Kids Connect and Soledad Unified School District will host a Holiday Resource Fair for special needs families on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Soledad High School, 425 Gabilan Drive. There will be filled Christmas stockings, activities for youth, resources for parents and a visit from Santa. Families must RSVP to reserve a gift from Santa.
