FFA WEEK

KING CITY — National FFA week began Monday and runs through Friday. King City FFA has a number of activities planned, including virtual dress-up days, decorations, posters and staff appreciation gifts. In lieu of the traditional donkey basketball game, the FFA members are organizing an FFA parade today, Feb. 24, down Broadway Street at 4:30 p.m.


JOB FAIRS

SALINAS — A series of virtual career and job fairs begins today, Feb. 24, and runs through April, covering a wide range of academic fields and featuring opportunities for both permanent hiring and internships. Hartnell College is presenting the online events with the Salinas Valley Adult Education Consortium and the Monterey County Workforce Development Board to serve high school, community college and adult education students, as well as job seekers not in school. COMMITTEE MEMBER

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Parks and Recreation Committee is looking for a new member to fill a vacancy. The committee meets once per month for about one hour. Members are asked to commit the time needed to review reports and documents, as well as act as ambassadors for community engagement, such as park cleanups and community workshops.
