CITY CLOSURE

KING CITY — In observance of the holidays, City of King City Hall and most of the city’s operations will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 3. All public safety police patrol and emergency response operations will remain staffed as normal during this time. Anyone with an emergency can still call 911 for assistance. The final day before this break for building permit inspection scheduling is Wednesday, Dec. 23. This closure is an annual occurrence for the city and not related to the modifications taken to adhere to Covid-19 health guidelines.


DECORATION WINNERS

GONZALES — Christmas house decoration contest winners have been announced by the Gonzales Recreation Department. Grand champion was Diana Amador-Loza, with “Judges Favorites” going to Judy Tamayo, Roxanna and Victor Martinez and Patty Perea. “Best Homemade” went to Leticia Flores, and “Best Classic” was Elizabeth Jimenez. Honorable mentions were the Humphries family, Rebecca Caudillo, Jessica Perea, Paul and Gina Miller and Anthony Gonzales.


COUNTY RECESS

MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County offices will have a Winter Closure lasting from Dec. 28 through 31. Many county offices will be closed or have limited hours during this time. This scheduled closure is in addition to the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holiday closures. The recess of operations will not close critical or public safety operations, which will continue to be available on a 24/7 basis.
