Jeff Popnoe and Shari Schmidt of Bitterwater, Calif., proudly announce the engagement of their daughter Melissa Popnoe to Chris Presley.
Melissa was raised in Truckee, Calif., but spent many vacations visiting her grandparents Jeff and Jean Schmidt on their Bitterwater ranch. Melissa graduated from Truckee High School and the University of California at Davis. She currently lives in Lodi and is the Director of Training for NorCal Ambulance company.
Chris is the son of Jon and Kathy Presley of Modesto. He graduated from Thomas Downey High and Cal Poly Humboldt. He is a Minor League AA Umpire and spends half the year traveling. In the off season, he resides in Lodi, where he is a substitute teacher.
Melissa and Chris will be married at the Schmidt Family ranch in Bitterwater next November. Guests will be invited to camp on the property after a catered dinner and dancing in the barn.
Melissa will be wearing a wedding gown created by her mother from her grandmother Jean’s wedding dress.
