More than 1,700 children and their families attended the sixth annual Trunk or Treat, hosted by the King City Recreation Department on Halloween, Oct. 31, at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds’ Expo Lawn.
In addition to costume contests and prizes, youth were able to go trick-or-treating at 36 trunks decorated by local businesses and organizations.
King City Police and Fire departments also participated by barbecuing hot dogs for attendees.
“We appreciate everyone who decorated a trunk and helped sponsor the event,” said Recreation Coordinator Andrea Wasson.
