KING CITY — Construction of a new Future Farmers of America facility is underway at the former Mildred Street parking lot of King City High School.

The facility will include agriculture classrooms and shops for students of the King City FFA program, which was recently ranked third statewide.

The project was funded by a $20 million bond measure passed in 2018, with South Monterey County Joint Union High School District also passing a similar bond for Greenfield High School to revamp its front parking lot.
