Clayton E. Abajian was born on Sept. 25, 1954, to Edward and Juanita Abajian in King City, Calif.

He recently retired from UC Davis Medical Center after 30-plus years as a nurse. He was also a clinical nursing instructor for CSU Sacramento.

Clay loved airplanes, guns, and audio technology. Through the years, he volunteered his sound engineering skills for numerous community events.

He is survived by his wife, M. C. (Phelps) Abajian, his children, Courtney and Mathias Abajian, and his brother, Lt. Col. Michael C. Abajian (Donna.)

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at Faith Episcopal Church in Cameron Park, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sac State “Clay Abajian Memorial Nursing Fund” at sacstatealumni.com/giving.
