KING CITY — Mee Memorial Hospital in King City has launched its third annual Holiday PJ Patrol to aid Partnership for Children and its support of local youth fighting cancer.
Mee Memorial Healthcare System is collecting boys and girls pajamas for children ages 1 to 12 (priced from $5 to $30) to be included in their holiday packages. Each hospital department will compete against one another to see who can collect the most PJs by Friday, Dec. 2.
The public is also invited to participate, with a collection barrel to be placed near the gift shop in the hospital lobby.
Partnership for Children provides holiday gifts for children with life-threatening conditions living in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties. For more information or additional ways to give, visit partnerforkids.org or call 831-422-3002.
“We are serving 270 kids this year, so the need is at an all-time high,” said PFC Executive Director Jennifer Ramirez. “We are so grateful for any help.”
Partnership for Children serves children and their families on the Central Coast, providing transportation to medical care and financial support, as well as holiday and recreational opportunities. These services help children to live as healthy a life as possible and help reduce stress for families.
