KING CITY — New officers Christian Salazar and Ignacio Hernandez were officially sworn in by Chief James Hunt on Aug. 13 during the King City Council meeting.

Both officers graduated from the Basic Police Academy in June and are currently in phase two of their Field Training Program.

Salazar brings 14 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter with the King City Fire Department, while Hernandez served in the U.S. Army for five years.

King City Police Department stated that it is “proud of what they have accomplished so far and look forward to see them continue to expand their horizons with us here at the King City Police Department.”
