KING CITY — King City High School FFA Chapter swept last week’s competition at Rancho San Juan High School in Salinas, taking home several first-place awards.

The Jan. 19 contests in Cooperative Marketing Tests (CMT), Best Informed Greenhand (BIG) for freshman and Job Interview featured nine schools participating.

King City’s team won first place in the CMT and BIG events, with several individual awards as well: Richie Lopez (first), Elliot Riley (third) and Kyla Lambert (fourth) in CMT; Samuel Hearne (first), Amity Hearne (third) and Italee Mendez (fifth) in BIG; and Kyla Lambert (fifth) in Job Interview.
