SALINAS VALLEY — Hartnell College invites new and returning students to enroll for the Spring 2022 semester during registration fairs to be held Jan. 11-14 at four campus sites and will provide them up to $550 for textbooks, supplies and campus food service.

The new semester will start on Jan. 24, with classes offered at Hartnell’s Main Campus and Alisal Campus in Salinas and at its three education centers: the newly expanded King City center, the new Soledad center and the new Castroville center, where final construction work is still underway.

The first registration fairs were on Jan. 11 at the Soledad Education Center, 1505 Metz Road; and then in Castroville, 10241 Tembladera St., on Jan. 12.

The next registration fairs will take place in King City, 211 N. Second St., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 13; and in Salinas on the Main Campus, 411 Central Ave., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 14, with free parking.

“This is an opportunity for our current and prospective students to see our beautiful new facilities and get ready to join us for the upcoming semester,” said Romero Jalomo, vice president of student affairs. “We have extended our educational opportunities throughout the Salinas Valley, and our flexible course options are designed to help every student achieve their educational goals.”

At the four registration fairs, college staff will be available to help students register for classes, with in-person, online and hybrid options available. They also will provide assistance with financial aid and information about student support services.

During the Main Campus event, in the Student Services Building (B), staff will help students upload their proof of vaccination. They must bring a vaccination card or have a digital image of their card.
