SOUTH COUNTY — Ivan Almanza of the King City Boxing Club and Andy Lopez of the San Ardo Boxing Club were victorious with wins Saturday at a boxing show in Visalia.
Ivan Almanza, also known as “little pitbull,” earned his fourth win by unanimous over an opponent from Phoenix, Ariz. Lopez also defeated his opponent by unanimous decision. Miguel Hernandez of the San Ardo Boxing Club lost in a decision.
On Oct. 20, the two boxing clubs will travel to Salinas to fight at a boxing show at the Rock Boxing Gym. Joining Lopez, Hernandez and Almanza will be 18-year-old Marco Lopez, who will fight at 132 pounds, and 20-year-old Kevin Perez, who will also fight at 132 pounds.
