KING CITY — King City and San Ardo Boxing Club had three amateur boxers take first place at a competition over the weekend.

Boxers Kaleb Almanza, 9, 70 pounds; Aedan Almanza, 12, 85 pounds; and Joseph Barragan, 17, 122 pounds, all took first place at the Hanford Police Activities League’s “Back to Business” show on Aug. 21 in Hanford.

All three boys from King City are coached by Rodolfo Tapia.

“My amateur boxers, they make it worth for me driving from San Diego to Hanford,” Coach Tapia said. “They fought very well. I’m very impressed with them.”
